Chace smiled, then laughed softly, squeezing in to allow Sam past, though in those brief moments of close proximity his heart was racing. "That would be great." He followed her across the room, and as he gazed into the bathrrom, his eyes widened and his mouth opened in astonsihment.
"Wow!" he breathed, as he admired the marble, the jets, the showers , the double sinks....
Double sinks??? His mind was racing ahead.... him and Sam sharing a room together.... a perfect couple.... He shook his head lightly, momentarily disorientating himself, before walking through onto the marble floor, and dropping his bag to the ground. He turned to look at Sam, opening his mouth as if to speak, before shaking his head again and turning back towards the bathroom.

Sam heard the 'wow' and she couldn't help but smile. She had forgotten about the reactions she got when someone needed to use the bathroom. She turned to face Chace with the smile still on her face. The smile faltered a bit when he shook his head and seemed to get dizzy from doing that. Well, you can use either the shower or the bath tub, I don't care. Oh and the toliet's over there around that corner. She said and pointed to the small wall that came out from the main wall. Just on the other side was the toilet. Sam smiled once more.

Chace nodded in response to Sam's words, and turned his head back towards her. His eyes locked onto hers, his expression meaningful, as he said sincerely "Thank you - for everything." He bit his lower lip gently, then glanced down at his clothes - well, they had once been clothes. Now they looked like rags. He pulled his shirt over his head, revealing his bare chest, and several recently inflicted wounds were easily visible on his back. He looked into the mirror for the first time since returning, and noticed just how gaunt he actually looked. He closed his eyes and turned away, deep frown curving his lips - he had always been good-looking, and knwon about it! Right now, he looked half dead...

Sam smiled softly. You're welcome. If you need any help just call. She said. She walked past him and quietly closed the door behind her. Chace looked awful when he took his shirt off. He might need a few bandages and some medicine, but first he needed a bath. Sam called for the maid and she quickly replaced the sheets with new white ones. Sam thanked her and sat down on the bed and began to read. Her ears perked up as she read, waiting to hear if Chace called for her.

Chase nodded, his back still to her, waiting until he heard the door close gently. He turned back towards the mirror, his frown deepening if anything as he noticed the full extent of the damage that had been inflicted on him. He shook his head, in both disbelief and denial, refusing to accept that fact that this all had happened due to his own stupid reckless actions. He sighed deeply, running a hand through his hair and walking over to the shower, turning on the hot water and waiting for it to warm up - which it did remarkable quickly. He took off his shorts and stepped underneath the slow of the water, tilting his head back as the heat numbed his pain to a dull throb. He took his time, washing his hair slowly, and making sure every part of his body was clean, especially the bits around his wounds, though this caused a stinging pain...
He turned off the water, sweeping his hair off his face before stepping out the shower, wrapping himself from the waist down in a towel and quickly towel drying his hair, smotthing it down afterwards and for once not even giving straightening a single thought. He paused at the mirror once more, noticing he looked a little better just for being clean, then, shoving his ragged clothes deep into his bag, he opened the door and stpped back through into the bedroom. He walked over to Sam and sat down beside her, smiling lightly yet saying nothing.

Sam had been too engrossed in her book to even notice the bathroom door opening and closing followed by the soft padding of Chace's bare feet. She shifted slightly as someone sat down beside her. Sam sighed and closed her book before looking over at Chace. Her eyes widened slightly when she noticed that he was only wearing a towel around his waist. Whoa, wasn't expecting that.
She swallowed and looked at his face, smiling softly. Feel a bit better? She asked. Sam looked over him with just her eyes. He had a few bruises and scrapes and cuts. Some even looked like they would need some medical attention.

Chace noticed her surprise, and griamced slightly to himself. "Sorry, I'll go put a shirt and shorts on." he murmured, rising to his feet. He did, however, notice her smile, so this made him feel much calmer. "Yeah, I do. Thanks for letting me use your bathroom. It's awesome by the way!" He lowered himself slowly to the ground beside his bag, unzipping it and digging aroung, looking for clean clothes. Eventually he found a pale blue T-shirt and some denim cut-off jeans, not to mention underwear.

Sam shook her head lightly when Chace apologized and went over to his bag. Don't be sorry. She said quietly. She played with the small star that hung from her ribbon bookmark as Chace went through his bag. She changed her position to where her legs were dangling over the edge of the bed instead of folded indian style. Sam looked up when Chace thanked her. She smiled softly. Don't worry about it. Yeah, it is pretty awesome. She said and chuckled.

Chace shrugged - he didn't want to make her feel uncomfortable in any way. Firstly, this was, after all, her own bedroom, and secondly after the time in Cannibal Village, he would sure she wouldn't want any reminders of that experience. He slipped into the bathroom once more and quickly pulled on the clothes, before stepping back into the bedroom and taking a seat beside Sam once more.
He turned towards her, unsure of what to say. After what they had been through together surely their conversations should not be so awkward!

Sam had returned her attention to her book mark when Chace left the room to change into some clothes. She looked at him and smiled as he walked back over to the bed and sat down next to her. You know what, we should probably put some medicine on those cuts. She said. Sam gave him a small smile and waited for him to reply. If he didn't want to put medicine on them it was fine with her but it was totally up to him.

Chace returned the smile, holding her gaze for a second before looking away. He smirked as she mentioned medicine, but knew she was right. "Probably." he muttered, looking over his shoulder at the wounds with a frown. "Hmm, would you mind? I can't really reach so well." He asked, slightly embarassed but hoping Sam wouldn't mind.

Sam didn't notice the smirk, she just nodded and got up. Walking back into the bathroom she opened a cabinet and pulled out some bandages and ointment. Sam re-entered the bedroom and sat back down. She moved Chace's shirt out of the way before spreading some ointment on the biggest cut she could find. Sorry if it is a little cold. She said, smiling softly. Sam finished rubbing the ointment in and then taped on the bandage. She moved to the next cut quietly.

Chase leaned forwards and lifted his shirt over his head so that she could get to his wounds. He flinched slightly as the ointment first touched his skin - she was right, it was cold! It stung slightly, though not enough to cause much of a reaction. As she moved on to another wound, he flinched again, once more from the cold.
He laughed lightly at his own reaction, running a hand through his hair while Sam continued.

Sam giggled when Chace laughed at himself. She smirked slightly when he flinched at the coldness. Told you so. She said and giggled once more. Sam finished bandaging the last cut. She capped the lid back on the ointment and gathered up the left over bandages. There, all done. She said and smiled. Sam stood and put the medicine back in the bathroom before returning to the bedroom and sitting back down. So.. She said, not sure what to say.

Chace's laughter continued as Sam's joined his. He winced slightly as the last cut was bandaged - though it wasn't the largest it was the deepest, so was rather sore. She smiled as she finished, and pulled his shirt back on, being careful so as not to disrupt the bandages. "Hey,no-one likes a know-it-all!" he said sarcastically, his smirk curving the corners of his lips yet he couldn't constrain the chuckle that managed to burst out.
He raised a hand to his mouth and controlled his laughter whilst Sam went back into the bathroom. He watched her as she approached, and scooted over a little, giving her more room. "Hmm.... we aren't very good at this general conversation really." He stated, looking at her and smirking slightly.
