Sam looked over at Chace and saw his smirk. She smiled softly. His smirk wasn't bothering her right now, maybe because he wasn't trying to take the throne away from her. Right now he was just sitting there looking a bit sore and tired. I'm not good at making any conversation really. I just talk to my horse and to the animals on the island. But anyways, where are you going to be sleeping? She said. Sam probably thought he would say his house but she really wanted him to stay here so she could keep an eye on him for a few days. Just so she could make sure he ate healthy and got his bandages changed.

Chase smiled lightly, and replied "That's a shame. Your voice is so gentle it's like music to my ears - people are missing out." Though the statement could easily be interpreted as false, his sincerity showed in his eyes. He looked away, cheeks flushing slightly before shrugging, and looking towards her once more. "I guess I should probably head home." He said simply, though how he could call it a home he would never know.... still, he was lucky to have a roof over his head at all..... He saw some concer in Sam's eyes, yet could not decipher it properly.

Sam looked down at her lap and blushed slightly. She never thought of her voice sounding like music. Especially to Chace's ears. It just sounded like a voice to her. Sam liked back at Chace when he began to get up. She softly grab his arm and shook her head. No, I prefer you stay here. So, I can....watch over you. To change bandages and make sure you eat properly. Just for a few days. She said. Sam mentally crossed her fingers, hoping he would stay. She would sleep better tonight if he stayed here.

Chace noticed the sudden rush of colour to Sam's cheeks, though in his opinion it made her look even more beautiful. As Chace rose to his feet, he was surprised by her protesting. He hadn't expected that she wanted him to stay. He turned to look towards her, smiling lighty as she spoke. He shrugged, ducking his head slightly. "No, I don't want to intrude on you." he said quietly. In all honesty, he was embarassed. He should be able to take care of himself, especially after all his hardships. He wasn;t used to people fussing over him.

Sam watched as Chace got up. She slowly let go of his arm, letting her fingers trail down his arm softly before her hand landed in her lap. Sam shook her head. No, you're not intruding. But if you don't want to stay you don't have to. She said. She stood up and grabbed his bag, laying it on the bed and opening it. Sam hurried into the bathroom and grabbed the ointment and bandages she had used on him. She put them in his bag and zipped it up. Sam turned to Chace and handed him the bag. New bandages everyday. She said.

Chace's heart seemed to flutter as Sam's touch lingered on his arm. He looked into her eyes for a second before announing his decision. "Well, I would like to stay, as long as you are sure I won't get in the way." he murmured, quietly, though he was sure she could hear his every word. He took his bag, and held it in his arms for a moment, still looking at Sam as though waiting for her to make the final decision.

Sam heard Chace speak up. She looked at him with a raised eyebrow while he spoke. She lowered the eyebrow and gave a slight nod, thinking it over. While on the inside she was smiling. He was going to stay! Now she could watch over him. You won't be in the way at all! She exclaimed, slightly surprised. She never thought such a comment would come out of Chace of all people.

Chace watched her reaction, almost certain that she wasn't happy by what he had said. He ducked his head, and scratched his cheek, yet noticed the nod she gave. His head jerked up, shocked if anything, yet a smile curved the corners of his lips upwards. He nodded gently. "Okay, then I'll stay." And with that, he lay his bag back on the floor, and pushed it under the edge of the bed with his foot. He didn't like leaving other people's rooms untidy...though he didn'y mind so much about his own. "Thank you Sam. You've been great to me, and I really appreciate it." he said with a sincere smile. Though it sounded repetitive now, he genuinely was grateful.

Sam's smiled widened when Chace gave in. She watched him nudged the bag under the bed. She adjusted her pony tail and looked at the alarm clock on her bedside table. 3:30 A.M. Whoopee... She sighed and yawned. Sam immediately felt tired. She hadn't before but of course had been busy taking care of Chace. I'm tired, how about you? She asked. Sam sat back down on the bed after pulled the covers back.

He watched with a smile as she yawned, though after seeing this, he too started to feel much more tired. He nodded gently, then yawned himself, laughing lightly afterwards - yawning is infectious! "I am rather." He stretched his arms above his head, wincing slightly as they reached the top due to the now added pressure on his wounds, then dropped them back to his side. "So do you have a spare bed or do you want me to sleep on the floor?" he asked seriously. Some people could mistake this for sarcasm, but he was being genuine. He knew Sam wouldn't feel comfortable sleeping in the same bed as him, and was grateful just to have a roof over his head.

Sam pulled her covers up to her waist and sat back against the pillows. She frowned when Chace asked if she had an extra bed or she just wanted him to sleep on the floor. She shook her head and patted the empty bed beside her. You sleep with me. So I can make sure you don't hurt yourself. She said. Sam smiled and tried not to blush. The only time she had laid beside Chace was when they were in the Cannibal Village.

Chace regarded Sam's expression towards his words, also frowning. As she pat the bed, his eyes narrowed ever so slightly, but regardless he moved across the bed and lay down beside Sam, wincing as the wounds made contact with the mattress. He smirked slightly, and muttered "Hurt myself? No. I just manage to attract other people to inflict pain on me." His smirk curved into a frown, and he turned his head to look at Sam, watching as the colour filled her cheeks slightly once more.

Sam watched as Chace lowered himself to the bed, she frowned when he winced as the wounds connected with the mattress. She let out a sigh of relief when he finally sat down. Sam smiled softly and shook her head. Poor you. She said. Sam reached for the lamp and turned the light off. She then laid down and pulled the covers up to chin. Sleep tight.

Chase smirked again, shrugging lightly before bringing his arms up to rest behind his head. as the light turned off and darkness engulfed the room, he did not close his eyes. Imprinted in his mind was the goddess-like image of Sam's face, causing a smile to form on his lips despite the heavy throb of pain that was now pulsing through his body. He turned his head towards her, just making out her sillhouette.

Sam turned onto her side so she was facing Chace. She sighed softly and snuggled her head into the pillow to get more comfortable. Soon drowsiness over took her and she fell asleep. But not for long. Her alarm went off at 5:30 A.M. Sam groaned and hit the alarm off. She let her head flop back onto her pillow but she was still awake. Sam turned her head to see Chace, she smiled and turned her gaze back to the dark ceiling.
