Sam drew her knees up to her chest. She ignored Chace's apology. It didn't matter. She watched as he studied the pictures on the wall. The pictures are not going to change no matter how hard you stare at them. She said. Sam laid back on the furs. She stared up at the ceiling, frowning. She raised her eye brows and looked at Chace when he asked what they were going to do.
Sam shrugged. Nothing. They could do what they were suppose to do or not do it and get killed once the cannibals find out. Live or die Chace? Which one do you want the most? Once you choose the answer is clear. She said. Sam hated saying that but it was true. She looked away from and stared at the blank wall. She didn't want to look at the pictures anymore.

Chace rolled his eyes at her comment, then sighed deeply. He noticed Sam's movements, and mimicked her, laying down on the furs. "Well I'm sorry okay, I'm just not used to death threats." he retorted, maybe a little too harshly. He sighed again, and looked over at her.
"I'm sorry." he said much more softly. He closed his eyes, and bit his lower lip again before murmuring "Live or die..." quietly to himself. He brought his hands up to cover his face, and inhaled deeply before muttering "So should we..." he began, but broke off quickly, sighing again, his face contorting as the realisation of what he needed to do hit him.

Sam rolled her eyes and swallowed as Chace laid down beside her. She listened to him debate with himself over her comment. Then he asked. She let out a shaky breath. If we want to live Chace. She whispered. Sam looked over at him. She swallowed and looked at the pictures. Mainly the one with the baby. She didn't want to get pregnant. Not like this. Not now.
She quickly looked away from the picture. They were just mocking her. Shoving and rubbing the truth into her face and laughing while they did it. Sam closed her eyes and her right hand grabbed the furs tightly. She didn't want to look at Chace but she did anyway. Ok. She whispered. Sam swallowed and waited.

He looked over at her once more, and noticed her worried gaze resting on the third and final picture. He sat up quickly, and dug in his back pocket... he was sure there was one in here from his last holiday, back when he had been hopeful that a day like this would come. He pulled it out, looking triumphant, and whispered "I have protection." His gaze moved to her again, and he lay back down beside her, biting his lip once more as he felt great anxiety in the pit of his stomach. He reached out and took her hand once more, stroking it softly before whispering "It's going to be okay, I promise." <gtg, might be back later on >

Sam watched in confusion as Chace sat up and began digging in his pocket. She frowned and her stomach tightened when she saw what he pulled out. She slowly sat up and continued to stare at it. This was it. Just see that made everything feel real. They were actually going to do this. There was no other way. Sam looked at the ground and shook her head. She laid down on her side so she was facing Chace.
Sam swallowed when he stroked her hand once more. She shook her head and looked away when he promised that it would be ok. Don't make a promise that you can't keep. She whispered. Sam looked at Chace once more.((Dang. See ya then ))

Chace was taken aback by her reaction. He pulled his hand away again, swallowed, then tilted his head back and closed his eyes. Everything I say she just throws back in my face... he thought, his heart thumping hard against his chest. He tilted his head down again, and looked at the packet in his hand, twiddling it between his fingers. This was their only choice... no matter how hard it may seem, it was this or death.... he kept telling himself this over and over but still nothing could lift the lead weight that rested in his stomach.
He brought his hand up to his face and massaged his eyelids, breathing deeply - it's what he used to do to calm down if he was scared, nervous or angry back when he was young, and it usually worked somewhat. He counted his breaths in his head - in for 5, out for 7, in for 5, out for 7 - until the steady rhythym had him feeling at least a little more relaxed.
Swallowing hard, he turned to Sam and looked her deep in the eye. "Okay then. Here's one I can keep - I promise that I will do all in my power to keep you safe." His face was calm, though in his eyes was sincerity... he would do anything to protect this girl, even if it meant putting himself at risk. He lay back down, but made no attempt to touch her this time.
Closing his eyes, he began to breathe rhythmically once more before he whispered "Let me know when you're ready."

Sam watched as he played with the packet. She closed her eyes tightly. She just wished that everything would go away. But it wasn't and she knew it wouldn't ever. She swallowed and rolled onto her back. She heard the rustling of his clothes. Sam turned her head to look at him. She looked back into his eyes and saw the honesty. She nodded solemnly.
She looked down at the fur and breathed in deeply. Her breath caught in her throat when he asked her to say whenever she was ready. Was she ready? In all honesty, no. But did she have a choice? No. Sam swallowed and breathed in deeply. OK, Chace. I-I'm ready. She whispered.

Chace nodded slightly and opened his eyes. He had heard the hesitation in her words, and knew that she was probably much more nervous than he was. He opened the packet and slipped it on carefully, his shaking hands making the job much more difficult. He turned his head towards her, then rolled onto his side.
He lay his hand gently on her cheek, stroking her skin tenderly whilst looking into her eyes. "I'm so sorry this had to happen." he breathed as he waited for Sam to prepare herself...

Sam continued to stare at the furs as Chace prepared himself. She looked back into his eyes when he rolled over and laid a hand on her cheek. She nodded and leaned her forehead on his for a moment. She slowly pulled away She slowly unbuttoned her pants and slipped off her underwear. Once they were off she quickly pulled up a blanket to cover herself.
She didn't like being naked in front of anyone, including Chace. Well, including any guy no matter who they are. Sam felt heat rush to her cheeks as she looked at Chace. She closed her eyes for a second until the flame went away. Then she opened them once more.

Chace could sense Sam's embarassment, so he closed his eyes tight as she got undressed. When all was still, he risked a peek, and saw that she had covered her body with the furs. He felt his own cheeks flush slightly as he realised that he was in fact fully naked in front of a girl - and not just any girl - the one girl he actually had strong feelings for. He closed his eyes for a moment, inhaling deeply, before too, slipping under the furs and turning to look into Sam's eyes once more.
"Are you sure you're ready for this?" he asked, his voice soft yet concerned as he stroked her cheek once more.

Sam's stomach tightened when Chace got under the furs with her. She swallowed and closed her eyes a minute so she could try and slow her racing heart beat. But of course, it wasn't working. Sam opened her eyes when she felt Chace's hand stroking her cheek again. She looked into his eyes and nodded slowly.
Of course she was lying, but what choice did they have. Yes. She whispered. Sam closed her eyes and laid her head back. Some tears were trying to escape but she wouldn't let them. Not in front of Chace.

Chace gazed at Sam, his eyes softening as he noticed that hers were glistening with tears. He knew that none would fall from his eyes - he hadn't cried since he was ten. He leaned his face in towards her, and kissed her neck gently, his hand still on her cheek. He moved his body a little closer to hers, so that they were not quite touching, but he could feel the warmth emanating from her skin.
"Don't cry." he breathed, barely a whisper. "It'll be over before we know it."

Sam nodded slowly and wiped away the tears. No use in hiding it, he already knew. Sorry. She whispered. She opened her eyes when she felt Chace's warm lips on her neck. She swallowed. When his lips moved away the spot tingled from his touch. Sam kissed softly along his jaw until she reached his mouth then she kissed him.
She slowly pulled away and looked up at him. Sam glanced away when she felt him move closer. Her stomach tightened again in nervousness. He was a lot more closer to her than she ever really wanted to be.

"Dont be sorry." he breathed, before her lips pressed against his, and he was breathless for a moment. When she broke away, he blinked twice before regaining himself. He noticed the anxiety in her eyes now, and he continued to stroke her cheek, so gently he was hardly touching her.
He slipped further under the covers before whispering "You sure you're ready?"

Sam laid her head back and watched Chace's reaction from her kiss. She would have smirked but she couldn't muster up the strength to be happy. This wasn't a smirking matter anyway. Sam sighed when Chace moved further under the covers. She nodded her head. Just do it Chace. She whispered. Sam closed her eyes and her left hand which was hidden under the covers gripped the furs underneath them tightly. She was scared.
